The motivation behind the Feathers Forever Collection was quite simple...I was trying to create that "special something" for those around me (including myself) who needed a bit of inspiration and understanding in their lives - something that stood for hope or even a new and brighter future to look forward too.
After doing some research on feathers, I found out that even the most common and ordinary feather symbolizes many positive beliefs and ideals such as "peace", "courage", "health" and "love" just to mention a few. The "powers of the feather" and what a feather can represent has been documented throughout the decades in numerous cultures found all over the world, bringing diverse groups of people who are searching for that little something together in the hopes of brightening their every day lives during troubled times.
I have tried to capture that with these beautiful Glass Feathers - the colors and their placement in the design of the simple feather forms intricate patterns, so I have "fused" together the abstract, but very positive ideals represented by the different colors of a bird's feather with pieces of real glass resulting in genuinely "YOU"nique artwork for the present day.
